The Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation welcomes CRAFT Connect Family Support as the newest member of its innovative Patient Care Network.

(March 14, 2022) The Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation welcomes CRAFT Connect Family Support as a Preferred Provider member of its Patient Care Network.

The Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation is a force of healing and hope for individuals, families and communities affected by addiction to alcohol and other drugs. It is recognized as the world's leading nonprofit organization singularly focused on providing healing and hope to individuals, families and communities affected by addiction to alcohol and other drugs. A legacy that began in 1949 includes the 1982 founding of the Betty Ford Center and 17 sites in California, Minnesota, Oregon, Illinois, New York, Florida, Massachusetts, Colorado and Texas.

“Our Patient Care Network allows us to team up with other leading-edge health care providers to help more people and better meet the needs of today’s changing health care world. It takes the best of what we do and who we are and shares it with like-minded organizations that have the same philosophy and commitment to treating patients and improving outcomes.” Bob Poznanovich, Executive Director of Business Development and Community Outreach, Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation.

Kristin Garbett, Founding Partner, CRAFT Connect “We are grateful for this exciting opportunity to build on what we are already doing, providing virtual ongoing support to families who have a loved one with substance use or mental health disorders,” John Garbett, Founding Partner, CRAFT Connect. “We view this partnership with the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation as validation of the effectiveness of the Model of Family Care that energizes and reframes the connection between providers, families and a struggling loved one into an effective “therapeutic alliance”.

“The Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation has a long history and culture of knowledge-sharing with individuals and organizations. Leading healthcare organizations that share our philosophy and pursuit of excellence are perfect partners for us as we work together to implement the strategies and systems needed to address this most pervasive of health conditions”, writes Poznanovich.

The Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation launched its Patient Care Network – the first of its kind in the addiction treatment industry – in 2017. Network organizations represent an exclusive group of providers who are like-minded, ethical and meet a need for Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation patients. Network members gain access to tools, resources and collaborative consultation for their organization’s leadership, staff, patients, families and communities. Participation is by invitation only. “CRAFT Connect would not be possible without the help of our friends at USARA, New Roads Behavioral Health, University of Utah College of Social Work, Family Services and all those we have met in halfway houses, community centers, churches and private agencies during the last six years while facilitating 100s of face-to-face and online support group meetings over 1,000s of hours. You have been our mentors and become our heroes. Thank you all for sharing your lives with us”. Kristin & John Garbett, Founding Partners CRAFT Connect.
